Guess What was Stuck in my Tire!
No Idea how this huge thing got in my tire! I took a picture of it next to a paper clip to show how monstrous the bolt is. When I was driving I noticed a sound coming from the back left side of my car. I pulled over and saw this huge bolt stuck inside my left rear tire. I had my friend pick me up and then I took my car to American Tire Co. in Dublin the next day.
They didn't know if they would be able to patch it since it was so big so I was expecting to have to buy a new tire. But luckily they were able to patch it up for FREE! The tire's fine now, I definitely recommend them if you're in the East Bay. ![]() |

Americas tire has not done me wrong, good people. I use Walnut Creek.
I don't know about trusting that tire anymore though. Look up the tire repair guidelines and I think that is a 1/2" bolt which exceeds the 1/4" limit.

![]() I don't think they would let me drive off with a bad tire, otherwise they'd be liable if something happened. |

It's the washer that set you up for a puncture. That's why I hate to see those panel trucks rolling down the road with a coffee can perched up on a rack overhead. One decent pothole and a few of those go flying out on the roadway, just waiting for some RFT to come on by.
