BMW Performance Exhaust or Eisenmann??
Hello Guys
Picked up my 2007 E92 328i about 4 months ago. I find the exhaust to be a little quiet for my liking. I've been reading up on The BMW Performance exhaust VS. Eisenmann exhaust (Sport and Race). Just wanted to get more opinions. I don't like droaning at all and don't want the exhaust to be really loud. Something nice and classy with a little bit of throat to it when i step on the pedal. Any opinions/suggestions are welcome. Thanks |

eisenmann is louder, and will drone, like most louder aftermarket exhausts

The PE is for you. Your whole description of what you want points to it. I have one on my 328 and it's the best thing I ever put on the car. Above and beyond awesome sound when flooring it and super comfortable under normal driving conditions + Zero Drone!!!
And it's a BMW part so to me anyway this looks like a no brainer. |

I feel you Adj5633. We're not better in Quebec City.
OP, I know you didnt consider that option, but you should consider MMW.

Oh man I hear you. I have 19s and I feel it when I hit one of these shitty jersey man eating potholes. Great in incentive to drive the speed limit, not to mention my 23mph over the speed limit the other day in a safe corridor no less...sigh ...

+1 BMW PE
I have fallen in love with it more and more. I've got about 3000 miles (out of 6000) on my PE and I really like it. It's so subtle most of the people who are familiar w my car never noticed it until I pointed out the new note. It's very tastefully done.

I agree with all the statements above. its really one of the best options. I like loud and there are others on the market that fit that. but the PE really has the best of both worlds. PM if your interested in getting one.

I say BMW PE as well. There's a video somewhere on the forums comparing the BMW PE to the Eisenmann. I *think* FrankieE90 posted it, but I might be wrong. I know it exists, though.

Tell me about it, I live in union county, and the potholes around here are just a little bit rediculous. I would love to get some larger rims, but I'm afraid with the amount of potholes around here (and the exorbitant price of new rims and tires) that I would drain my bank account in one missed avoidance.)
I'm also planning on doing the BMW Performance Exhaust on my car, tell me how yours goes! |

I am also looking for a subtle muffler upgrade. I am almost happy with the stock muffler, but I would prefer a touch more sound. Is the Eisenmann "sport" much louder than the standard muffler? For example, do you notice much difference on a cold start and at low speed when driving in an enclosed carpark? Did you try doing a resonator delete to get some more sound with the Eisenmann sport? |
