ranking system on this board?

i noticed i have changed rank based on the amount of posts i have made. (very cool its almost like ebay....although some people just post to increase rank) is there a break out of the number of postings associated with each level of rank? thanks!

Yes. The vB software allows the admins to create their own ranking system and pick the posting levels for certain ranks.

They can also do it on tenure (length of membership), reputation ranking (not used here) or any combination of all three.

6000+ General
4000 - 5999 Lieutenant General
3000 - 3999 Major General
2000 - 2999 Colonel
1500 - 1999 Lieutenant Colonel
1000 - 1499 Major
750 - 999 Lieutenant Major
500 - 749 Captain
350 - 499 Lieutenant
200 - 349 First Lieutenant
100 - 199 Second Lieutenant
50 - 99 Private First Class
30 - 49 Private
15 - 29 Enlisted Member
5 - 14 Member
0 - 4 New Member

I know 7k plus is still a 3 star General, is there life beyond 8,000 post?

awesome! that looks about right actually lol..never thought id be so into what rank i am..im not one of those that just posts to post but its cool to follow the ranking..takes the mind off waiting for your car to be delivered haha
