JB4 question.
So I just ordered my jb4 today and I was wondering does anyone here have any of the Jb tunes installed onto their car and have had a problem with the engine? And if you did what did BMW say when you brought the car in? Did they do the work under warranty or did they void the warranty? I'm just wondering cause I just bought a extended warranty for my car and still have 60k left before it's up.

I've had the JB3/JB4 for almost 2 years on my car and loved every minute of it. Had no engine problems what so ever and my car is my daily driver. However, I was only running the lower maps (map 5 on JB3 and map 1 on JB4) since I only have dci and exhaust.

Oh I'm also asking this because my car has had 3 hpfp replacements, 5 injectors replace and 2 electrical thing replaced and water pump and oil pump replaced. So I just want to know if adding this will cause more problems.

It's up to the SA when it comes to mods. Some will look past some (most) mods, while others will start raising hell for aftermarket wheels.
Never had a single issue with the JB4 in 13000 miles.

You do for updates, logging, and some user adjustment. But not necessary for basic operation.

came from jb+ to jb4 now. Dealer has seen my dci's no problem but removed the tune every time. The jb4 will allow you to clear codes from the steering wheel buttons. But like everyone always says, remove all mods if you can. Other than that, no problems. I'm only running DCI's on jb4 map 5.

Oh last question so I have on my car ultimate racing 2.5" catback exhaust, hks bov, and ultimate racing cold air intake. And I pump 92 octane. So what map should I run?

I have been running JB3/JB4 for 12000 miles with no problems.
Take the thing out whenever you take the car to the dealer. Clear you codes. If you have a JB4, it will clear the codes for you. If you have a JB3 you will need a BT tool if you want to do it yourself.

I run Map 5 as I feel better performance on it than Map 1.

Intake/BOV and exhaust shouldn't be a problem. All they are doing is increasing airflow. Just call your dealer anonymously and say "hello I was wondering, I just bought a 335i and will I void warranty if I put an intake and exhaust on it?". BAM problem solved.
I have intake (a HUGE 3.5" piping), Diverter Valves, and AR Downpipes on my car and nothing is voided. I just make sure I take out my JB4 before I take the car in.

Straight from Terry at BMS
"Adaptive PID is not the same as full "autotuning", but it's an important component to it. It's an algorithm to adapt the boost control to your cars specific wastegate stiffness, mods, local conditions, etc. We'll be building upon it in future releases while we simultaneously add the other components needed. As you do subsequent WOT pulls you'll see the FFMAX value under user settings adjust itself between 0-130. This represents how much of the duty cycle increase is fixed/hits instantly and how much is variable through the PID process. Ideally you want most of the increase to come through the fixed/feed forward as it will result in you hitting your target much faster than waiting for the PID to integrate to it. But if the value is overly aggressive you'll get overshoot and throttle closure. So the adaptive PID ranges FFMAX based on historic data collected during WOT runs. Right now its ranging one value which scales the entire 3D curve but the next step on adaptive PID will be to have it learn on a cel by cel basis (rpm, gear, target)." Again, Map 5 is PID, but not full auto tuning (that's why I said "sort of" in my original post.
