N55 catback
Hi guys, im really debating if to install a catback exhaust on the n55. The reason is that i like the sound on the dp and stock exhaust and second im really not sure if an actual catback will actually produce hp? The oem catback of the n55 has no restriction rather than a small crimped section near the muffler thats all (my idea). Anyone thinks different.
Any dyno proven gains ? Any thougths......

Get DPs and cut the secondary cats and call it a day then?

He already has a DP and the N55 doesnt have the secondary cats unless you have an X Drive
Pepe, the sound will change for sure since you will be going to be using a different style muffler, that probably flows much better then stock and slightly larger piping. As far as power, on my car there was a noticeable difference when I took off the catback after doing the DP and putting the stock catback on. However my car has the secondary cats. |

Pepe think of weight saving when getting an exhaust. The oem one is heavy. If ur at that stage then do it.
