Mtech rears for e92's out of stock??

So I was rear ended almost a month back and I took my car to the shop to get the OEM bumper replaced with the MTECH bumper. For the last three weeks my shop guy has been telling me that they are out of stock every where and that he even tried to get one from Germany but they dont produce them anymore... I find it a bit hard to believe. I spoke to him this week and he said he would have the parts ready by next week from an East coast supplier, I am not sure if I should believe him. Do you guys know if the part is really that hard to find?

TIA.

I doubt they are they hard to find. Your shop has probably been using your car for parts he needed and had to order replacements for what he took off your car.

Not hard to believe. The parts guy at 3 different place I called (bellevue, Kuni, Tischer) says that the rear is backordered.

But OP's bodyshop is telling him that BMW doesn't even make it anymore, I find that hard to believe.

Thanks for sharing, I guess it may not be unreasonable for it to take some time.

That is what kinda threw me off a bit, people are posting pics of newly installed mtech rears all the time. If they are not being manufactured anymore than where are all these people getting it from?

The site said they could ship it in a few days. I spoke to my shop again and he said they were able to order the parts from an east coast dealer. Looking at receiving it next week.
