Left/right balance, Logic 7
l have a new-to-me 07 335xi with Logic 7. It sounds to me like the left/right balance is off, always favoring the right. At lower volumes, especially listening to the radio, most of the sound is coming from the center and right channels.
It's less noticable at higher volumes, especially with CD or iPod, but still present. I can compensate with the balance control. Is this a characteristic of Logic 7, or might I have a problem? I'd like to address this before I start upgrading the system, as I hope to use the factory head unit for signal while integrating my own amp and new front speakers and subs. Thanks guys. |

Definitely a problem. Mine comes through equally on both channels.

It's most prominent with voice on the radio, which I recognize might be a signal processing characteristic. It happens, though, with vocals on CD as well.
Is diabling Logic 7 an easy, reversible process? I have a dealer appointment later this week, which may or may not solve the problem. I'm thinking more on the may not side of things. |

... Yes. You either turn it on, or you turn it off. There's a button/settings in iDrive.

There should be a button or something with a speaker icon to turn it on or off, or it's in the menu of the radio. Check your owners manual. Looking at google images there's a button to the right with a music note, maybe that's it.
