Idea for the mesh grille bits...

Hey guys:
I'm a fairly active computer modder, and was wondering what you guys would think of the following stuff to replace the plastic mesh that covers our brake ducts and intercooler.

I personally think it would look good, and rather distinctive. Add to the fact that it is actually metal, and not plastic, and we might just have a winner.

Comments?

Also, how is that meshing currently attached? I'd like to figure it out, so that I could devise a decent mounting system for a replacement.

Thanks!

You could just buy a Race mesh grille. I dont think you will get your to look as nice as theirs. Its a little $$$$ tho. I just ordered chrome door sills for my car and The bottom silver piece on our car im going to change to chrome.....

From what i've been reading, its a PITA to remove the mesh. The center mesh (one right infront of the intercooler) is removeable quite easily. Just start pushing from one corner and go all the way around and it should come off. But if you want to put another mesh on it, you'll have to remove the whole bumper.

As for the chicken wire. I wouldnt do it but to each their own. Do what you think looks good. I personally think there are some cars on this forum that are riced out but its their car and they can enjoy it. Check out that site though they have some pretty cool stuff.....

You know he's talking about the mesh on the bottom of the coupe bumper, right? At least I think he is.
