Welcome, but be careful in this forum. If you buy a 335, everyone in the forum that owns an M3 will harass you for not buying an M3. All the 328 owners get harassed for not buying a 335. It's the DNA of this forum..."my car's better than yours". Have fun anyway.

Here is another question that I have, I just foundout that my dealer altered a current allocation that he has, the orignal order was placed on April 7th, and I ordered April 12th. Normally how long does it take for a car to enter production, becuase my status is still saying "On Order"

Call BMWNA and follow the menu prompts for vehicle production status. 800.831.1117
They are much better at updating then the website. I ordered my 335is on 4/6 with my dealer also modifying a previous allocation. The website still says on order but the 800 # tells me it is in production and currently in the body shop with production scheduled to be complete on 4/15. Your CA can also give you up to the minute status.

It's only been a week since I ordered mine and the wait is already killing me!

Ive called the 800 number and this is the message I get "Your vehicle Is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet" Ill call my CA tomorrow I guess and see whats up, because this is an altered allocation that was placed on 4/7. Where about in NJ do you live? In in the Hackensack area...

I'm in the Tinton Falls/Red Bank area. I ordered my car from Open Road BMW in Edison (close to where I work) for a few hundred over invoice and so far so good. Glad to see you also ordered yours with a manual trans...definitely the minority vs. the DCT. I test drove one with the DCT and it was nice and shifts lightening quick but there is just something about a clutch and manual shift that I just love. The BMW performance short shift kit that the car comes with makes it even better. Below are the specs on mine.

Black Sapphire Metallic 6MT
Coral Red Dakota Leather
Premium Package
Comfort Access
Heated Seats
HK Sound
SAT Radio
IPod and USB

It depends on when your dealer's available production slot was. Your dealer can probably give you the production week it is, so you can have an idea when it will begin production.

Welcome to the club

I financed and put $17k down and paying $625 a month. Metalic Black on black, premium, convenience, nav, heated, DCT, iPod.

You'll find it hard to contain your lead foot when you get it! Friggen awesome acceleration and exhaust note at highway acceleration.

Yeah I know, I cant wait. My friend had a 335i with a SSTT, and now he has a 135i with a JB3, i always enjoyed both cars.

I think they said the 335is would net a the same HP result as the 335i.

The BIG difference is that a 335is has the necessary oil, water, and fan cooling to help support the software!

You'll still get the 5-7 second torque boost but the software takes the 335is to the max. I wonder what software does to MPG? I'm already at 15mpg mostly lead foot city and two days highway sprint commuting.

Yep, believe me, I RESEARCHED this car before I made any decision, Im going to do a JB4 anyway, so I guess well see how well the two play together.

Thanks man, wow we ordered our cars so close. I would think they should enter production real close and we should be on the same boat, I would think anyway. Your car still says "on order" or did it enter the production stage?

Yeah its getting to me to, ive been checking the website 100x's a day for an update, I shouldn't be doing that because it makes the time go so slow
