What am I going to like best?

With my new 328xi on the water and within 3 weeks of delivery, I'm getting jazzed about the options I added to this car that I don't have in my current 325i E90. I already know the x drive because we have that in the E91, but I added several cool options.

Now I'm trying to imagine which one thing is going to stand out as my favorite new feature or option on the car (knowing that they probably all will and will change from time to time). But many of you have all these toys, so I thought I'd let you speculate on my impending joy.

What do you think the single favorite thing will be:

- Sport package (different seats and steering wheel and 159 wheels)
- iDrive / Navigation
- Xenon headlights
- Lemon interior
- iPod / USB adaptor
- Sunshades
- Park distance control

Off the lot or over a period of time?

. I'd imagine you'd be bowled over by the lemon interior first. Over the next few days the sport package (because of the seats and aesthetics of the 159s) will come into play and then when you get into the toys (i-drive/USB) those will be all you think about everytime you get into your car.

My vote is for ZSP but I think you are going to enjoy entire package/all options.

yeah... initially ill think you'll be pleased as punch with your lemon interior choice. i think for the life of the car though, you'll be pleased you got the navigation set up. you really can't do without it these days.

You're probably spot on. I know the first thing I'm going to make a bee line for is that lemon interior when I see the car... but so many other new things too!

I had to go with an aftermarket nav -- I love the clean lines of the dash w/o the nav-hump. The salesman actually talked me out of it -- I was on the fence anyway -- can you imagine a SALESMAN talking me OUT of spending $2k?

Thanks! Looking forward to the lemon in a big way.

BTW - I had a '02 almost exactly like this:

04 | Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor Sedan - SOLD -
Black | Black Leatherette | Aluminum Trim |
Sport Package | Premium Package | 6 CD Changer | 20% Tint |

Except I had the Oyster interior.

I would edit that statement if I were you.

Anyway, I think you're going to go bonkers for the Comfort Access. Oh wait....you didn't order that option you tight wad.

Only new options for me are Sport and Nav/i drive.

Don't know why I didn't get Sport Pkg on my current car, so I corrected that error. I know I'll be getting winter tires/wheels next season. I'm looking forward to an extra 5 mph on my highway exit ramp with the wider tires--like I did when I test drove the M3. Just couldn't see having SMG as a daily driver. The E93 sounds like it will be close to the E46 M3 in a lot of performance respects; can't wait to pull up at a light next to one.

I'll start by using the ipod thru the aux port. I listen mostly to Sirius now. They have great music channels with no commercials (love 22-First Wave and others in the teens). Looking forward to not having that black antenna on the trunk; at least the shark fin will look somewhat better. If I use the ipod a lot, I'll go for the dealer install so I can use the i drive and nav screen.

I probably could hae done without Nav, but I figured why not have it and i-drive. Voice command should be fun.

Another great addition is Bluetooth if your car is pre-summer 2004, but I installed a BT module on my 330, so I already have that, too.

Don't forget Comfort Access! No need to pull out the key. Just have to remember to turn off the car and lock it.

I've had xenons since my 98 Acura TL. I'd never get a car without them.

No Active Steering? That is one of my must haves, which include Sport and Premium. After having it, I don't ever want a Bimmer without it.

But in the absence of a selection for A/S I voted for the Sport Package.

No matter, congrats on the new addition.

Active Steering is not available on x drive models. I don't doubt that it's a cool feature, but I don't think it would make the cut for me anyway. I would choose adaptive cruise control before that, but not for $2k.

I know I take a lot of heat for not getting comfort access too, but I just didn't feel the need. Also no doubt that it is great, but we have to eventually decide what our priorities are for options (unless we just get everything, which most of us don't).

Yeah, I forgot about it not being available on the x drive. I have active cruise too, and although it does have a major "cool" factor, I don't find it a "must have" as I do with active steering. I doubt I'll pay extra for active cruise again. I just don't need/use it that often.

I'm envious of your lemon interior, and would love it to be an option for me when the new M3 Sedan is finally available. I'm thinkin' Jet Black/Lemon would be sweet!

I'm looking forward to photos when the new baby arrives!

I commute a lot, so adaptive cruise would be cool as hell, but for the price I can manage to touch the lever... that is basically how I feel about CA too. People usually misunderstand my comments as bashing the options - not true at all, I would gladly take every option, but I draw my budgetary lines and make my choices.

Black with lemon would be sweet! It was by dumb luck that I was paying attention to this forum when I ordered my car and discovered lemon was available. The car was actually on order but I was still able to change it. I'm psyched about it!! There will be photos indeed!
