Dallas Paint and Body Shop - need to paint and install M3 Rep Bumper

Just ordered an M3 Rep rear bumper for my e90 from **********s!

Wondering if you guys have any recommendations for either paint, or paint and install on this bad boy? I could probably install it myself, but if they don't charge that much more I may just let them do it.

Not looking to spend top dollar... I am about to graduate college so I don't have a lot of money.

Open to hearing all recommendations, experiences, and people / shops to call to ask for help.

Details, Ltd off of Midway in Dallas/Addison area does very good work. They do a lot of german cars. I had them do work for me was extremely happy with the color match and quality. Well definitely use them again.

Stuarts off Plano Rd in Dallas is another really good body shop that I would use. They do a lot of high end cars. I've seen their work and it's very good as well.

Thanks for your orders on the E90 and E92 M3 style front bumpers guys. I do hope that you guys find that paint shop to do the work. Either way, make sure to post up some pics of the bumpers once all is said and done as I cannot wait to see the outcome

Lol wow. I just got off the phone with Details, Ltd. Dude pretty much went off on me about how aftermarket bumpers are "garbage" and how they won't do any work except for OEM stuff and how they never fit right or look right. I then went on to say well what about aftermarket body kits, its the same thing. Are you telling me that a Arkym or Amuse body kit is garbage then because it's aftermarket? He then tried to backtrack and say that they would need to see the part but that he's done arguing w/ me. I said if you don't want my business that's fine. Dude was a dick. Won't be getting any of my business ever.

I'll be looking for alternatives.

Who was the guy you spoke with? Justin? If so, then I understand. I would be suprised if that was Ron you spoke with.

I was quoted roughly $500 for any front bumper paint and install at Stuarts a couple years back. Though pleasant to deal with, you are paying a premium for getting body work done (not sure how much other places charges). I'd also be interested in knowing other good body shops getting bumper painted and installed.

Thanks

Wow that seems fairly expensive.

Anyone know of any places that still do a good job with better prices?

Browsing some archived M3 forum posts, there were many recommendations for sewell lexus body shop for custom work and also new concept autoworks up in Plano. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I used New Concepts in Plano on Ave K about 5 months ago. It was reasonably priced (esp if paying cash), 3 day turnaround, and looked perfect, esp for BSM paint. My cousins have been there for their cars and were happy with results as well. They didn't charge me for the switching out the fender but may be different for others. I just negotiated.

Guess its time to start making some calls and getting prices.

Question though: Can you install it and have them paint it after its installed (while still on the car), or does it need to be off the car to paint it?

Will post back findings.
