How long at the VPC?

My car has finally arrived in New York and is at the VPC. How long does this process usually take? Dealer claims about a week, just wanted to check with you guys.

First off, congratulations! You are near the end of your journey!

Your CA is basically right - figure "about a week". I think the LEAST amount of time is two days. When your car goes to the VPC it has fallen into a black hole, from which information cannot escape. Not even your dealer (unless he has some back door contacts) can find out anything.

The good news is that priority one cars are always processed first. But if there are 4,000 cars coming to the VPC that week... you get the picture. Your dealer does this every day, so his estimates are much better than mine or others here I'm sure, so you should trust him - but know that it could (though rarely) be longer than a week.

The dealer usually doesn't know anything more until it is released to a truck for delivery to them.

A week is probably about average--hope for 5 days, maybe a little more than a week if you are unlucky or in the back of the line.

Congrats--post some pics of the new ride!
