HID fog light help

can i install 55w HID bulbs in my fogs or will it get too hot and burn the housing?

Why do you need 55W? I use 35W and it is quite a bit brighter than my stock D1S main xenon.

OP, have you tried/seen 35W fog light xenon kit yet? You should see if before even considering 55W.

the heat output of 55w hid should still be less than the halogen bulb.

its not very nice to other people tho. the fog light housing isn't a focused beam setup

Alpine does NOT recommend installing 55w HID fogs in the 35w housings FWIW - and they're in the business to sell HID's...

I read that the 55w wont fit since they are longer. I cant confirm this, but it's what i read somewhere.

my current stock bulbs 55w halogens not 35w. and from what i know, HIDs produce more heat

HId's bulb actually run cooler. The ballast can run a little hot though.

I recommend keeping with a 35Watt however.

We have an error free kit guaranteed for the 2008+ e90-e92.
