Nurburgring This Weekend - Pictures Now Added

Hi Fellow Forum Buddies,

I'm off to the 'Ring early in the morning and was wondering if anybody else was venturing over...
Weather is looking good and the track is open all day Fri, Sat and Sun! Be nice to bump into and meet some other members so feel free to say Hi!

I'll be in My E46 M3 (Silver with CSL whels and bootlid).

Have a cracking Easter Bank Holiday, I know I will!!!

Matt.

will be there on Sunday and Monday.
On Monday the track is open as well, even better, the track is connected to the GP-track, enabling you to drive the VLN version of the track (Ring+GPtrack). All for the same price as a normal lap

Just got back from there.

We had initially planned for Easter, but we went a week early to avoid the Easter rush. So our paths almost crossed! Have a great trip! We had absolute brilliant weather and it didn't rain once, so I hope it stays the same.
Btw, you can buy the lap cards at the petrol station on Döttinger Höhe, but note that they charge a credit card fee (€3 on a 4 lap card) where the ticket office doesn't. In hindsight I wish I had bought a bucket load of the Redline October issue and got a bunch of lap vouchers from that... would have saved me quite a bit.

How was it? I was there last Thursday and it was great, not too many people, fantastic weather and no closures due to accidents. Just a Porker shredded later in the afternoon, but well, Porkers.

I heard the Easter week-end was very busy, which was to be expected...

What a fantastic weekend!!! 25 degrees all weekend and it was absolutely mobbed. It was difficult to get a clean lap as there were just so many cars / yellow flags out on track but managed to beat my personal best.
Only a couple of track closures but they didn't last long and they was plenty of eye candy to dribble over between laps.
Decided I need to invest in some Cup tires or maybe some R888 for the next visit and already looking forward to going back. If you've never been you're missing out on a serious adrenalin rush that will leave a smile on your face four hours...

Matt.

Just received some excellent pictures from Jochen AKA Frozen Speed...

Oh.. I'm only 22 secs off then as I got an 8:44.8 (according to my Performance box).
It is gradually coming down each trip but generally only do 4-5 laps each visit so next trip I'll be happy with something in the 8:20 to 8:30 region. Kev... You've got to turn up to beat me!?!

you are a bit more off The time of 08:22 was for a FULL lap, and not BTG. So count another 25sec on top.

Don't focus too much on the time, just try to drive nice fluent lines. A car is thrown away in a heartbeat. I unfortunately had to experience that myself.
