TEE-9x meet

Any golfers up in here who would like to meet up sometime and play a round? I'll play anywhere within the 495 belt...or even up in NH near the border.

I don't care if you're a beginner or a pro, just looking to meet some golfers and have a good time. I usually shoot mid-80s.

We will call it the TEE-90 MEET.

I'm also a terrible golfer. But could be talked into this if there's tolerance for sub-par golfing and less than perfect golf etiquette. Hmm, sounds like amateur hour to me.

I've been meaning to get to the range, but it's been cool/windy lately.

Nice! I'll shoot people who are interested a PM, hopefully we'll be able to find a group of 4 and plan something in the next few weeks.

Putt putt & ice cream would be fun too!

- "aww man I ran out of golf tees"
- "no worries, I'll go grab the one in my exhaust"

If you hit 1 out of 9 fairways, you're better than me

Haha, mini golf is the only golf that isn't going to end in me getting kicked off the course for taking too long to complete a hole.

Sounds like we would make a pretty even match.

as long as you're willing to play you're more than welcome! could make 2 adjacent tee-times if more than 4 want to play.

Any course in particular you want to play? @MassBim, Milford hmm...Would you mind driving north a bit to Stow? Could do Butternut or Stow Acres. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has a favorite course.

I'd prefer playing mid-week over weekends, but weekends are good too.

I've played a lot of the courses around the North Shore and southern NH, but that might be a hike for most of you guys. Any location is fine by me.

Weekends would be more convenient for me, at least until Summer due to work schedule. Once late May/June hits, I'm flexible given a little notice.

Yeah man that works, used to live up that way. Weekends are brutally busy for me so I could probably do weeknights

I drive by Stow all the time on 495, but have never played any of the courses. Definitely up for this if we can get a date solidified.

Pretty much in for any weekend that I'm not already playing. I'm up in Newburyport but willing to drive down 495. I've been playing a bit at the old Georgetown CC which is now Blackswan CC. It's in great shape for the price.

Shoot right around 90+ or - depending on fairways hit.

Being a newb didn't realize I could only send PM to 5 folks. d'oh! sooo, I propose Thursday June 16th, or Saturday June 18th...thinking we'd go with the date with most available people. If you can do either date please indicate.

Stowe North course in Stowe, MA. Personally I'd prefer to play around 1pm, but after 2:30 is fine if cost is an issue. Planning to make the tee-time on June 8th, looking to have folks committed by June 7th.

FYI: Thurs before 2:30 is $40, after 2:30 is $30 for 18 holes. Saturday till 1pm is $53, 1pm - 2:30 is $43, and after 2:30 is $32. Carts are $19 per rider.

Cheers.

I would prefer 6/18 but could probably do 6/16, especially if it's in the afternoon. Haven't even been to the driving range yet this season.

I'm interviewing for a job in Boston - if I get it, the week days would likely be out for me..

@redwinger, I'll have to check out Blackswan sometime, I used to play at Rowley CC quite a bit, think they've since changed ownership. That was a tuff little 9-hole course.

@TL, Never too late to learn! I'd be happy to show you some pointers to get started if you'd like. If you have any athletic ability like able to throw a baseball or toss a frisbee pretty well you can swing a golf club.

@jopa, it's nice out hit the range already! Stowe Acres has a range there as well so at the very least you can show up early and hit a bucket.

@MB, good luck with the interview! Kill it!
