Another Xede to Procede review
Being one of the beta testers for the Xede, I thought I would post my opinions of the new Procede after having it installed 2 weeks ago.
Here's a little background information, I was the first auto to be dyno'd correctly and was very happy with the perfomance upgrade with the Xede. However, I did notice some drawbacks with it, first was the power delivery. The car felt very rough in its delivery as compared to stock with the Xede. There wasn't much room for error when applying input via the pedal as the power sometimes came on quite strong and seemed more difficult to predict. My car also threw a crank angle code druing the first month after having the Xede installed. Shiv was on it and had my car looked at and tested the very next day (being local to you tuner is great ) About 2 1/2 weeks ago Shiv did the swap to the Procede and the difference was noticable immediately. Power delivery felt much closer to stock, very smooth across any rpm range (I still notice slight turbo lag below 2000 rpm), but thats probably expected from a turbo car. My car did put down a little more hp and torque but I can honestly say I can't tell the difference with the increased power as the change wasn't significant. The Procede feels like a refined version of the Xede, very smooth and predictable power delivery. I really think those with MT cars will be happy with the swap as I dont know how you guys controlled your launches with the Xede, it seemed like a very abrupt power delivery and throttle control must be tough. All in all I am very happy with the new product and understand why Shiv made the change. On a side note, the install looks much cleaner than the original Xede, no external boost controller, yay! So it looks completely stock from the engine compartment other than the ground wire. Happy tuning. -Ryan |

I know exactly how you feel about the switch. My car is a manual and although the car is smoother in its power delivery, it's still an exercise in right foot control when launching out of the gates in first gear. Although I've never driven a step with the Procede, I think it'll be a bit easier to launch than with a manual. BTW... you should try higher octane fuel, it's even better

I just had Procede installed this past weekend and wrote a review under the videos section (I took two videos of testing the Procede). Everything is running very smoothly. The shifting actually feels smoother through the gears than stock in my step coupe with 93 octane gas. The low end torque is sick and the high end torque is punchy. Everything is running very, very well and I am extremely pleased. My 335i now feels like a super car.
