If you have a car while you do european delivery then it won't be so bad, but it is a painful wait. I'm still waiting for redelivery but European Delivery itself is fun, especially if you are interested in seeing stuff about BMW, like the museum and such. I had a blast on mine, and you can definitely same some cash from doing European Delivery.
To me the experience of European Delivery depends on how much you take advantage of it. It's not really for those who are just looking to save some quick cash due to the hassle, but if you take advantage of it to see your car there, if you get to drive it around on the Autobahn, see some of the BMW stuff, it can all be a very good experience or a *shrug* experience. Just depends on how you take advantage of the program and if you try to make sure you get the most out of your trip.

Just went to Munich last month and loved every minute of it. German drivers have to be the best drivers in the world. Too bad Americans cant drive or else we would probably have no speed limits some places.
I got to do the factory tour and museum while I was there. Im doing the PDC on my X5 in June and will proably go back and do the Euro delivery once my 335i lease is up. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting MUNICH. Wish I could move there for good.... loved it that much.

Yes, you can do ED with a lease (I did). It works just like a purchase. You should do your research on payments, go to your dealer to do the paper work and then go pick up your car.
