Brake Calipers Colour

Going to be painting the brake calipers this weekend.

What colour should I choose ?

Black would be my first preference. Any other color suggestions ?

UPDATE

Calipers were painted Black. Here are the pics.

Im going to do this soon too and on my AW I am using Silver. I dont have fancy wheel like you so Im keeping it simple.

What paint are you using? I suggest POR15 Caliper paint, I have used this before and it really protects against rust

Black will last the longest and look good.

Since the rest of your car is done, I'm sure a flashy colour might look good....Gold? Blue (like the roundel)?

Red or Bright Yellow.

Both are classic and tasteful and make a style statement. Seeing as you have red tail lights, the red would be best.

Black is certainly not bad and if you don't want your calipers to be noticed, that's the way to go.

I like silver but afraid it will get dirty and messy very easy so I go for black.

Where you guys buy the caliper paint? From Crappy Tire?

I heard G2 caliper paint was good but I could not find it in T.O.

I'd stick with red if you want it to stand out... or a black if keeping it simple

Hes gonna need a BBK to able to pull off any bright colors. Im in the same situation as he is. I want to get white calipers but I think it will look horrible on the stock 335 brakes. I think Im just going to get them painted gloss black or gray.

BTW OP are cars are twins. besides my 269s are black.

No worries, a BBK will give Sathees something to spend his money on....

99% of the time, DIY painted calipers up-close look really tacky because of the grainy texture:

+1... BMW's make way too much brake dust... they'll look like crap most of the time...

Alpine White, looks amazing when clean but it takes a lot to keep them clean. I know first hand, I am now cleaning my calipers 1x per week.

i say charcoal gray. same color as the inner spokes of the 269's you got there. Unless you have upgraded braking system and you wanted to show them off then thats when you would paint them a bright color. Looks like you have stock there so i would keep them behind your wheels but keep them neat with a stealth color that match your wheels.

Can you "cover" the calipers with these instead of painting them?

They look great
