8.5 psi max stock. Compare to other turbocharger cars it is a low reading number but it does not mean nothing, the engine is aid by other technologies that compensate for the low boost:
4 valve per cylinder high compression ratio(fast revin) bi-vanos FMIC Aluminium block generally speaking, the engine is very well optimize performance wise. Carlos |

^^I did not know that but thanks for sharing. Does it have a eletronic boost solenoid controlled by the ECU?
We are not talking about the "overtaking" overboost right? Carlos |

"So what's under the 335i's hood? "We have two Mitsubishi turbos running at 0.6bar (8.8psi). These can boost to 0.8bar to compensate for altitude using the two electronically-controlled wastegates," Udo explained." http://www.eurotuner.com/featuredveh...mw_335i_coupe/ I believe Shiv mentioned having an overtaking boost option with the PROcede, like the Sports Chrono package with the 997TT. |

hm mitsubishi turbos.
I wonder how the car would do with twin 16G units (stock size off Lancer EVO). I am starting to believe this car has a VERY strong potential to start putting numbers down that would put it into Supra range....well at least the lower output ones. |

I would be concerned about overheating (see some of the active threads), especially in an auto.

Alot of the heating issues are coming from automatics that were built in the period where they werent adding in the oil cooler and thats why many of those specific cars are over heating..........

Also, from what I have gathered, the space is extrimely limited to fit larger turbos in a 335. Some have tried already and commented on how hard that would be. I am still waiting to see somebody to come out with a nice, free-flowing downpipe for our cars. |
