dealer service visit
I brought my car in for service yesterday to have a light bulb and air filter changed out but wasn't aware they were going to wash it.
Aside from my car being spotless when I brought it in, the service guy also commented on how clean I kept my car. This is because I just got an awesome detail w/ paint correction about a week ago. Anyway, I recieved the car back later that day streaky and small scratches all over the black sapphire metallic paint. Just wanted to vent and warn people that bmw will wash your car when brought in for service, without asking you first. I know, noobie mistake |

+1, tough to learn the hard way but now you know.
My SA knows not to wash the car, but I politely remind him each time. He understands 100% (also a classic BMW enthusiast) and we even chat about wax and stuff a bit. And I also leave a polite sticky note in the gauge cluster to remind the Tech. SA claims they appreciate that.
