Wink Angel Eyes for 2011 e90

Hi All,

I'm a bit of a noob to my e90. I don’t really understand the options for upgrading the angel eyes. I have an 2011 e90 335 xdrive. It came with the not-so-bright yellow angel eyes, I would like to make them brighter and Whiter. I am NOT looking to get aftermarket angels. I have a lease so I do not want any codes.

I have done my fair share of searching and cannot find a solution. Is it the bulbs that need to be changed? I don’t understand what I need to do to make them brighter.

Can someone suggest a product? And if you have pics that would be great.

If you don't want aftermarket LED AE's then you have no other option.

I've done quite a bit of research online and on this forum and I have decided on getting the LUX AEs. I don't have them yet but I've seen `em in person and they look great.

I am not familiar with this product. The challenge you will find with most if not all of these after market LED options is they are NOT bright and don't even come close to the OEM LED angel eyes found in the new 5 series or LCI e92.

The complete kits are not bright, so I am very skeptical that a plug and play bulb will be bright enough that it will not get washed out in direct sunlight. There's a reason they are showing that picture of their AE's in the "dark." Lux appears to have the brights kits available but even those kits are not as bright as the OEM version.

These are LED bulbs. As for codes, I'm not sure, but I don't think so. LUX has daytime shots on their site and they look pretty good to me... but I'm no expert.

Here's a post from LUX about their product, which has a lot of info as well as some photos.

It's my understanding that, as the other poster said, if you don't want aftermarket then you are SOL. BMW OEM is what you got. Anything else is aftermarket. BMW OEM from other 3 series (E92 coupe) do not fit. Please let me know if you find a different answer.

Can you clarify this statement MTP? I see it being read as you don't want anything aftermarket for a solution including LED Bulbs, as well as full Angel Eye ring replacements. Originally I read it as the latter, but bulbs would be OK as long as they didn't produce any error codes. ?

EDIT You must have made the post above around the same time as I did... so it seems that LUX could be an option. I'm sure more people will post what they have/recommend. There is a comparison post on all that is Angel Eye here but remember is your friend...

I just saw this thread. there are about 100000 posts asking about angel eyes so its hard to find them all and answers questions.

the LUX H8 V3 are a 100% plug and play solution with NO error messages. Please visit my for sale thread for all the details about the product, or send me a PM

OP - to get brighter angel eyes you NEED to go with an aftermarket solution. there is no OEM solution other then what your car already has. LUX H8 V3 are the brightest LED angel eyes on the market and have great reviews by everyone that has ever bought them
