Recommend to LOWER my car???

I'm not sure if I should lower my car. Do you guys think it will look better if I lower it? Or you guys think it is low enough? The spring and shock is from stock, and I didn't do anything about my suspension.
Please give advice.

I'm changing wheels soon, but why the wheel spacers? Why do people people replace wheel spacers?
Thanks

the EXACT words I was thinking looking at the pics, and you said it on the first post LMAO

OP, if you have to drive bad roads a lot you will probably not like being lowered on coilovers... If anything, just get some springs.

If you weren't getting wheels, the wheel spacers get you flush with the fenders, giving your car a more aggressive stance.

Is that like a stick-on fake-M-gills side vent thing? That needs to be fixed before you do anything else.

As for your question, well, some folks are going to say you need to slam your car, other will say it's fine. There really isn't a right answer. I don't get these threads where people ask complete strangers to engage in subjective decision making for them. Make a choice and own it for f***'s sake.

Do you drive your car in the winter? If so, the car sits where it is so it can clear snow. If you lower your car, you may have problems driving in snow.

Personally, I think all xis could use a drop. I'm planning on doing mine soon but am getting coils so I can raise my car in the winter and lower it during the other seasons.

no on lowering... i have a e92 and i am already having issues with my wheels rubbing on stock height. i couldnt imagine what a headache a lowered car would bring... like if you said, if you are going to get new wheels do not lower it... especially if your roads arent in the best conditions.

oh and far as the chrome side marker thing goes... please do take it off.

XI- must be lowered. Looks terrible- I know I was there. just put some spring on it, get it down to "I" height at least.

Why's it on one side but not the other?

I say a 1.5" drop would fit it nicely, it is an XI after all so you don't want to slam it. Some 10mm front spacers and 15mm rear spacers would look good too. I got an i's ZSP suspension for sale (check out the forsale thread), not sure if it will fit the xi though.
