Boot Lag- Turbo issues 335i
07 335i 6mt w/63K
Yellow Check Engine light came on after Performance Driving School- I turned off engine/remove key open doors and reset, it went away, but on High RPM demand light returned. Dealer says it has Boot Lag (his words- not boost lag) and 1 of the turbos is no functioning properly. They need $300 to look into it further- Its had 4 HPFP's last being 800 miles/10 days ago, a rough idle went away and a uneven idle/surge idle between 500-800 rpm was present time to time- Should I make sure its has the correct SA software updates on Turbo Lag? O would the latest version include that? I assume the dealer would ck the SB history? Thanks- God If I need to buy new turbos I will faint. |

you should check for codes ... did they tell you what codes were present ?could be anything really... if you have underboost codes could be one wg is bad and that would lead to a new turbo .
