A group of friends of mine will be driving down from Vancouver BC to the Seattle area on the May 21-23 weekend.
Any driving routes or things to see you would recommend? Especially during our rainy season? I was planning to do the Chuckanut Drive route and possibly some part of the northern section of Highway 101 near the Olympic National Park. Any recommendations or thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Edit: we may drive down to Oregon and do the Gorges as well as an alternate route. Also any road side stops or place to eat would be appreciated. Tentatively we will be in Seattle for one night on Saturday, drive along the coast on Sunday, head back up on Monday and possibly hit Seattle International Raceway if they open up a lapping session on Monday. Thanks! Last edited by spacedogg; 05-04-2011 at 07:04 PM.. |

No shit, I'd say Paseo's or lunchbox labs for sure tho
You live in Issaquah and you recommend a crappy Dick's burger over XXX to a car enthusiast? ![]()

I'd recommend Oddfellows in Cap Hill... It's an older building with a very Seattle vibe, plus really good New American food that is reasonably priced. There are good bars nearby to go to afterwards. Capitol Hill in general would be a great place to hang out if you want to feel like you're in Seattle.

Kerry Park in Queen Anne for a great view of the city. Seattle Aquarium and the surrounding area is a great place to hangout and get lunch. Also Red Mill Burgers, some of the best burgers you'll ever eat, much better than Dicks. Rated best burgers in Seattle.
