Burning Oil
Do our N54's burn oil a lot? I've had the car for about 3 months now and I am being told to add a full quart of oil for the second time. The car is bone stock expect for a JB4 on the lowest boost map (1). Only had the JB4 for about a month and the first time I needed oil was before it was installed.
Thanks. |

Do you drive the car like you stole it? For some reason, mine burns oil primarily on long road trips. Typically between the ridiculous 18k oil change interval I will have to add at least 1 quart, maybe 2.

Mine burns oil as well. The oil light turned on the day I drove it home from the dealer (bought it cpo). Scared the crap out of me. Happened again after the next oil change. I know to watch for it now.

This is my 'slow car'. I just started tinkering with it and don't plan on doing anything else to it. I do drive it hard, but not all the time. I guess I am mostly in the 'investigory stage' in terms of driving it hard. But I mostly drive it half city/half highway to and from work. I have never had a car that needs oil this regularly. Other car is a supercharged Mustang, over 480 rwhp. This is my first turbo car.
