Regarding tunes, to each their own, I have a JB4 planning to get a Proceede in the future. Cobb is pretty good too I hear from ease of installation and good power increase.
DCI is subjective I hear they all mostly do the same thing so I went with BMS DCI. For downpipes, get at least 3 inch, not any of that 2.5 inch crap like raceland, I hear AR design and Macht Schnell are pretty good For BOV, I like the sound of the Active Autowerkes' |

first- get a vishnu procede or jb4 tune. i have vishnu for several reasons. so yea.. i do recommend vishnu second- riss racing isnt a company anymore, and AR dp's fit better thab any others on the market. that should answer that intake- NO NEED to get fancy. bms DCI or vishnu DCI pick one. vishnu is $55 more bUT the cones are bigger. i have the vishnu last- do NOT get a BOV, an after market diverter valve is okay for that sound but a BOV is not properly recycling air for our cars. known fact. if you have further question, pm me, hope that helps |

Seeing how you're local in SoCal, I would most definitely recommend you drop by to check out our shop. Either way here is what I would recommend for the car to start off.
COBB AccessPORT BSH Oil Catch Can AR Design Downpipe (catless or catted) aFe Dual Cone Intake Evolution RaceWerks Diverter pipe w/ HKS BoV |

but..do NOT get a bov??? Show me the "known fact" that says it is not "properly recylcling" air for our cars???? Gotta love when people make stuff up and call it KNOWN fact. We use TMAP not MAF sensors and so "proper recycling" of air does not matter, THAT is a known fact. I have had both forged DVs and now run a synapse and love it. This is the very reason myths and rumours get started. I would also caution against the HKS bov, it's whiny/whistly and ricey sounding. Alot of people were running Tials but were getting bad turbo flutter and have since switched to the synapse. |

1. Good tires (non RFTs)
2. Tune - pick your poison 3. DCI - cheap 4. Meth - best bang for buck after tune 5. DP's - good HP and sound 6. FMIC - no heat soak 7. LSD - get the power to the ground 8. Exhaust - basically sound only 9. Suspension - Coilovers + M3 parts Thats the order I would go if i did it again. I won't mention brand names but I'm 110% happy with the ones I bought from.

The other parts were covered well, but I will go back to the BOV. The 335i uses a MAP sensor, which is not affected by a vent to atmosphere (BOV) valve. You can use them with MAF sensors, but the valves must be placed before the sensor (which is not common).

if ur running with some sort of budget then def get the BMS DCI, look at the ****** BOV's theyre only $125 shipped and sound dank! then definitely hit up the hancook v12 for tires. id also do a muffler delete its cheap and sounds good and will improve ur throttle response

As far as the intake, please choose a true CAI like Stett, Ultimate Racing or Mr. 5. NOT a DCI !
As far as downpipes, I would go with Active Autowerke, they are the cheapest quality downpipes. BOV - save your money. |

1. DCI intake ($95.00)
2. Procede Vishnu pro tuner (895-940) 3. PWM Meth kit from vishnu $??? over 400 hp to the wheels at the switch of a button, and all can be installed within an hour and un installed for dealership visits...?? Why would you ever want to do anything more unless your planning on full blown race car... learn from me who spent over 2k on a pointless Dinan tune that i will be ditching as soon as the PWM meth kit is available and switching to Procede

why do you say NOT a dci? for someone that doesn't want to spend alot of money and push their car hard run after run the IAT difference between the two may be negligible and performance wise as well, which in fact is a fact and is shown in numerous threads. For half the money and almost identical performance why not for someone on a budget? Why not a BOV? A good BOV or aftermarket DV kit is almost essential for a tuned car, whether or not you like the sound of a BOV is your call but to outright say save your money and not use it? again, show facts or at the very least provide an explanation. I use to be stock under high boost and was leaking like crazy, i've had both DV's and a BOV and in the end went with the BOV simply becuase i liked the sound, performance was identical. I am not bashing you but it doesn't help the OP to tell them "do this not that" without providing reasons as to why. |
