Please help!! procede V5 problem.

I have installed V5 2 weeks ago in Taiwan, but I got some trouble.
1. It become hard to start car, I have replaced the battery, sparking plug, HPFP , changed firmware of V5 and updated DME program but useless. After uninstalling the V5, it's easy to start car as before.
2. I got the same error message "insufficient boost value" (Sorry, because the Diagnostic Computer is Chinese version, I translate it to English.)4 times.
3. I found out that the light of dashboard will become dark and bright alternately. I don't know if it is normal or not. This symptom happens after installing V5 and disappears after uninstalling V5.

My car is 2007 335i sedan imported from US without any remolding now and milage is about 32500 miles.

This is one problem or issue that I have never heard of with Procede...I think you should email Shiv or wait until he is on the forum to help you...Its Mother's Day here in America, so you might not get answers until possibly late tonight or tomorrow...Just dont drive the car for now..

Did you talk to your Procede Dealer in Taiwan? The only thing that would cause an underboost is a bad firmware update or an actual boost leak. The center screen on your dashboard will go bright/dark during map switch indications (at start-up and during mapswitching). That is completely normal.

Are you sure you installed it right? Also, there are certain procedures that you need to do such as clearing/resetting through the command center and finally resetting the procede. It goes like this:

1. Load/update the appropriate firmware.

2. Turn off the car for 3 seconds

3. Load the appropriate map.

4. Go to command center, mode 3, starting from option 12 to 1, reset all by pushing in the BC button on the cruise control stalk. Hazard lights should flash as you reset each option to confirm.

5. Using the laptop, go to 'comms' menu and choose 'reset procede'. Wait a few seconds until it reconnects to your laptop.

6. Turn off car for 5 sec.

7. Start the car and drive.

Yes, I have told to my dealer, he wants to downgrade my V5 to V4 and try again. In addition, my friend's 2007 E92 335i also got the same trouble after upgrading V4 to V5. He has downgraded to V4 and everything is fine till now.

I want to know if hard to start car is also related with the bad firmware update. I got the trouble when I 1st installed the V5 without any firmware change.

Be sure to read the "read me" file. I too was having difficult starts. The car was dying and running like crap. Took me a few hours to figure out the problem. You have to follow those steps in the file.

The instructions says "Upload the appropriate 3-15 map", but there are so many .pcd files in 2 folders named "RB Turbos" and "Stock, TD, AWD, ASR Turbos". My car is 6AT, I don't know which map I should choose. Who can tell me?

Go with the 'stock' map folder, there should be maps for AT, MT, and DCT I believe.

Make sure you have the right everything: Procede reader v5.00, fw, and maps.

And follow the instructions in the 'read me' file. Which I kinda already wrote them out for you in the last post.

Follow what cstmx posted. That's what is in the read me file and fixed my problem. The actual file is located in the folder that contain the v5 maps. It's a separate file.

if your turbos are stock its pretty obviuos you have the use the folder marked stock with the right transmission AT. Only RB turbos have a sligthly different map because of lower Boost DC value.

One more question, there are 2 .pcd files named 6AT(is) and 6AT, could you please tell me which one is correct for my car?

You want to use the 6AT unless you have the BMW power kit or a 2011 335is.

following the step5 (comm 12 - 1 reset) on the readme, it will do that for you!

Taken directly from the read me file.

Update Process:
(Many of these steps are redundant but always better to be safe and sorry)
Step 1: Update to firmware #104_2 as usual (laptop plugged in to a AC socket) using the Procede v5 user software.
Step 2: After firmware update is complete (0-100%) and Procede resets, turn ignition power fully OFF and wait 2 seconds
Step 3: Turn ignition power fully ON
Step 4: Upload the appropriate 3-15 map
Step 5: Once uploaded, go to Mode 3 on the Command Center and do commands 12 thru 1 (12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 in that order).
Step 6: Go to COMMS menu in user software and select "Reset Procede". This will take a few seconds. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP!
Step 7: Turn ignition power fully OFF and wait 5 seconds
Step 8: Start car and begin driving!
