Congratulations on completing your 2nd year at Queens College. I went there as well. I graduated in 2006.
Just word of advice, if you already decided on a major, you should try and obtain a job related to your major (It will help you in the long run after you graduate) or goto The Career Office (the building next to Keily Hall) and see what they have available. They usually have binders full of potential opening in various fields. Good luck.

I'm lost here. You want to have your own business when you're older so working at BMW Bayside over the Summer is perfect? What experience would you learn at BMW Bayside Service that will help you in becoming a future entrepreneur? Unless, you want to open up your own service department at a dealership.

what's your major in QC? i too graduated from QC in 2009 with a dual major in accounting/economics. Get a good degree so that you can work and build valuable experience before you try to open your own business.
Sounds like you're adamant about working for a BMW dealership. Think about $$$ and career development instead of fun. |

Internship on the resume shows the potential employer you were "valuable" to someone in college and that you are probably more valuable w/ some experience now. I always look at candidates w/ internships and give them the advantage. Eh, my 2c. |

you guys got it under control.
Start applying now because summer internships fill up quick. Go to your career center and find something. Reach out to your contacts and see who can help you, circulate your resume and apply to every entry level position you find. Get on Linkedin and find a recuiter, work for free if you have to. Temping and Internship work is all BS anyway, you just want to build a resume and bang a few hot corporate chicks in the process. |

Internships are key. Majored in Mechanical Engineering and interned at CAT in IL and for a utiliity company in NY. Had 15 interviews for a job my senior year because of my internship experience. Plus they pay well if you can get into corporate (I avg'd $20/hr) It's a numbers game. Apply to everything within your major.

Out of college, the first question you are going to be asked in an interview will be, how does your experience transporting/selling cars relate to this job. Your going to need something more professional to speak about in an interview. Also, learn some basic excel skills and terms, macros, lookups, and pivot tables and even if you dont know it, tell them you do, you can figure it out later.
