*PICS* (New PD front bumper) Need foglight delete. What to do?

I just received my Prior Design E90 front bumper.

As you can see in the picture, I will need to "disable" and "delete" my stock front foglights.

At first, I was just going to take out the foglight housing and bulbs, electrical tape the wires to the car so I can always put it back easily. Then, stupid me, I realized that might throw bulb-out code errors.

What can I do with foglights at this point? **I do plan on putting stock bumper/foglights back, when I part out or sell my car. So complete deletion is not an option. Just... for the time being, I need them "disabled" without throwing annoying codes.

Any experts? I did some research and some recommended this.

I have no idea what he is talking about however. Im not a electrical person, but I can easily follow electrical step-by-step operations, so if anyone can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

You best bet IMO is to take to bulbs out go to autozone or pepboys or something similair they sell led resistors just get urself a pair of those connect it to the fog light wiring and you will have no bulb in but you will not get an error code that will work like a charm cause it send a message saying their is power going to it

just code out the fog lights. go to the coding section and look up how to code bulb out errors.

I would like to do it "manually" via messing with electrical materials rather than coding.. I don't want to spend $100+ for the cable just to code my foglights. I know I can do many things with the coding, but I don't plan on keeping my car for very long, so yeah.

Can you give me more details on how to do resistor thing?

As far as the Hartge Lip goes, lol, you should see how it looks like right now. You probably don't want it.

It will need repaint + major fiberglass work for it to look good. I will put it up for sale later for real cheap. Probably like $100 + shipping. I paid nearly $900 for this... from Hartge Germany.

The reisitor is about $15 for a pack of 2 u will use one on each side and it comes with clips and this square block clips onto the positive and negative wires

you could simply zip tie the bulbs somewhere safe and tape them up with foam or other protective material so they dont break. Downside is that you should not turn them on if they are wrapped in something due to danger of fire, melting tape etc.. this is the cheapest/easiest way but coding them out would be more of an elegant soln

Damn, I like that bumper much better than any other options out there. It's not on their site, should I just contact them directly about it? How much did it cost you?

This is a premium bumper straight from Germany. It ain't cheap. If you can handle it, PM me. I'll talk to someone for ya.

Pretty much. I rather spend the $100 on something else. $800 + shipping bumper is a huge dent on my wallet already.

I hardly think changing out the old beat up front bumper for a new one is a "re-doing" a car. What AutoWerks did to their M3s = Re-Do.

That's a good price. the front OEM M-tech from Tischer costs more than $800, so I'd say $800 for a pretty unique bumper is a hell of a deal. Is it fiberglass or PUR?

That's good to hear. I forgot about OEM mtech. Most get reps so I was just thinking about rep price. Unfortunately it is FRP. I wish it was urethane. But Prior Design bumpers are well made so I'm hoping the shop wouldn't call me and ask me they need to charge me extra for fitment.
