Weird take off problems
Have 335xi manual tranny and Occasionally when I press gas and take off on 1st I hear a clunk noise and feels like something is holding me back then releases me!! It's like the drivetrain doesn't catch or maybe the brakes don't release me for that second....anyone??

Possibly your hill start assist disengaging slowly when you engage the throttle?
Another thread on a similar subject: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8383515 I have a non-X 335i 6MT and I've never experienced the feeling you're describing.

DSC/DTC
We had a 520d a few years ago and when taking off or giving it the gas, it would slip like it's the clutch going or as if the prop shaft was no longer connected! We were told it could have been a DSC/DTC error. Just try turning it all off when you next try to make sure it isn't electrical although the hill brake assist seems most likely!
