question about e90 aftermarket wheels..

Hey, in the market for some summer tires and wheels....
couple of quick questions...

some info about my car..atleast pertinent to the rims....

2006 e90 330i with sports package......

1. Will I need spacers?

2. Are 28-30lbs. wheels too heavy or are they OK...

3. Any other piece of info that i have missed please fill me in...

so you mean the normal 5X120 that the bmw takes...??

No, that is bolt patern. Google offset wheel you will know then what is offset.

In a nutshell, offset refers to the distance between the hub and centerline of the wheel.

gotcha. Now just find out what the offset of my OEM rims are and get the same offset or as close as poss. in the rim that i want and poss use a spacer if the offset is less to build the diff.....

Well, it's not quite that simple. If your new wheels are wider or narrower than the OEM ones, you need to account for that in finding the appropriate offset for the new wheels.

and u don't want ur rims to fit like the stock ones. The stock ones are narrow and very very conservative.

With aftermarket rims id run something more agressive, that brings the wheel out to the fender more. Widens the stance of the car and looks much much better in my opinion.

ouch and i just thought buying rims were picking the ones i liked....

i purchased an old pair for my 2k4 325ci and just slapped them on and they looked gr8....however i know that this is diff. with the e90...

i appreciate all the feed-back fella's
