Track night @ famoso first time n55
Well i finally got my car to the track. Meet up with Terry, he was nice enough to meet up with me at the track and hand me my JB stage 1 personally.
Great guy! Ill let him post his times and the other members who where there. His car is very impressive i have to say, its going to shock alot of people. But anyways my car is completely stock (335i e90 AT) with JB stage 1 on default settings, full interior with 19" rims wrapped with 275 width tires in rear and 255 non RFL. It was a Hot day 80 degrees and the track was overwhelmed with cars too many at that. I got in one run within 4 hours. With custom map & better launch the car will get in 12's easily LEFT LANE Last edited by Keik E92 M3; 05-14-2011 at 02:00 PM.. |

Hmm 13.3 isnt anything good to be honest.
Ive seen stock n54s hitting that..the n55 is really underpowered compared to its older brother. Anyways practice the launch and give your caf more adaptation time nexxt time |

I heard a stock N54 was running in the 14s. But prepare for the haters. Also heard Terry ran pretty good times for the mods and conditions. Maye I'll throw up a post when I get the slips.
Glad to see you back in a JB though! How do you like it so far compared to the PROcede V5 you removed? Mike |

I was running the procede but decided to go with the JB, The JB is simple and easy to work with for me. To be honest it feels the same as my Procede V5 did. I haven't even bumped up the boost yet. So i know with some boost and practice it will go 12's.. I am also running heavy 19 inch rims. First run of the night as well.
stock N54's were going 14's last night... I am happy with my results. Last edited by Keik E92 M3; 05-14-2011 at 03:38 PM.. |

I'd be willing to bet a stock n54 doing 14s was probably a MT that couldn't launch. What were the n54s mph? When I was stock wayyyyyy back in the day, I never went under 103.5mph in 90 degree FL humid heat. That is over at least 50+ passes.
What do stock n55s run? I don't think I've seen one at the track here yet. Your ET is pretty good for your mph, probably could get down to a 13.1, but I'd think your mph should be higher. How much boost were you running? Switching out those 19s would probably give you another mph, depending on what kind they are. Tune-only 335s are very temperamental to hot weather and heat soak. The crappy ass intercooler really robs the power on the back half.

Have people never heard a bad driver before!!! Why are we trying to bunch every N54 into one group. Times vary so much especially for a stick car with a bad driver or a bad launch!!

I am not saying N54's are slow or slower N55, What i am stating is that there where N54's going 14's at that track at that particular day. Ill take a N54 over a N55 any day.

Word! I must have misunderstood you. Yeah cuz when I was stock I would run anywhere from 13.6 to 14.0 with the crappy runflats.

As more and more times are pouring in from that track event, your times seems really slow. Are you sure you were using the correct settings?
Terry hit 112-113mph, what did the n54 that ran 14s trap? |

my car is a 335 AT on 19's. Stock everything 91 octane and JB stage1 stock settings. Plus first and only run of the night. I believe if i warm the tires up, 93 octane and more boost i will hit 12's. |
