Buying a used car from out of state, what fees/taxes shoudl I expect to pay?

I'm picking up an E36 from out of state for $12,500 and was wondering what fees/taxes should I expect to pay?

-shipping costs ($1100)
-sales or "use tax" in orange county ($1093 @ 8.75%)
-registration tags (how much is this?)

I'm pretty sure CARB will want some of your money too. They may not even let you keep it.

Probably a smog check should be added to the price.

Probably got to get a smog check here in the state. As long as you have cats you should be able to pass. Without cats, it will cost you, but there are around.

I bought my E36 M3 from Arizona back in 08 for $11500. With DMV registration I got a fee for about $1081 for "sales tax" and registration fees. Smog your car and have the title ready then enjoy your new used car.
