Will these alloys fit?

Just came across these BBS for my AW E90 on gumtree.. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-m...heels/79829117

Spoke to the guy selling these who said that these may not go on my E90 as it may need spacers.. what does that mean? Lastly, what do I effectively need to look out for when buying aftermarket alloys such as BBS or VMR for the E90? Look for BBS LMs preferably either a black finish or original ones..

Also, off topic, where in the UK can I buy LUX/OSS lights?

Sorry for the basics but what does that actually? And when I was speaking to the guy, he said I need spacers if I want those alloys?.. Could someone please explain or point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

The five holes on the wheel will not line up with the 5 holes on your hub. This is a bigger problem than offset/spacers.

The spacing between the bolts that attach the wheel to the hub is wrong. BMWs use 5x120, meaning 5 bolts separated by 120mm apart at the longest distance. These are 5x112 meaning, there are 5 bolts separated by 112 mm apart.

This means that you will not be able to mount these wheels DIRECTLY onto your hubs. HOWEVER, there are adapters you can purchase that will allow you to bolt 5x112 wheels onto 5x120 hub. They will also act as spacers.

Generally speaking, people run adapters only in very special occasions when they have some really nice, hard to find, expensive set of wheels from another car. Those BBS wheels are common and they actually make them in offsets and bolt patterns for BMWs. BBS actually gained a lot of its fame by making OEM wheels for BMW.

Anyway, I'd recommend to stay away from these. You will gain more headaches than anything else, having to deal with adapters and what not. Just find a proper set of wheels for your car and call it a day.

Dude, thanks a tonne on that, much appreciated. Now I know this, I can happily look on.. any ideas re: LUX or OSS lights for the E90 in the UK? Where to obtain or not worth the mod?
