335i E92 6-speed ACT clutch install shop SO CAL???

Hey guys,

I tried the forum search and nothing really turned up.

Does anyone know of a good shop in or around the Orange County area that will do a clutch install? I have called around to a few places and I keep running into the same few problems. Either they do not have the proper alignment tool for the job or they refuse to install my clutch (ACT street/strip) since I did not order the part (clutch and pressure plate) through their shop.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again and sorry if this is a repost.

Hi Jian,

My name is Cheralyn Smith and I am the Marketing Manager at ACT. I saw your post and thought that I could help you out. I would suggest that you contact Bruce at AutoWerkes in Huntington Beach. The number is 714.842.2277.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Cheralyn

Evolution Racewerks in Baldwin Park!

I bought my ACT Clutch from them and got it installed by them! Real cool people, and they know what their doing. Be sure to change out your pilot bearings and stuff. They also carry those..

They have a tracked out N54 of their own so i believe they have lots of experience with our cars

By the way you'll love the ACT Clutch

are you getting your flywheel resurfaced as well?

i dont mean to threadjack but since i have searched and cannot find it what exactly are the limits on the stock e90/92 clutch before needing to upgrade?

my wife has an e92 and i like hers so much i'm looking for my own... first mods will be a procede V5 and progressive meth(not vishnu's meth kit though)

v5 and meth should be around 400-420 whp based on other people with similar setups and i'm wondering how well stock clutch will hold up to this and as well to future mods... i.e. down/mid pipes, intercooler, intake, etc etc.

i believe v5, meth, downpipes, intercooler ,intake, is around 450whp

ive read that a lot of people are still on their original clutch and are fully modded.
