Review: Cree SMD LED Reverse Tail Lights
Hey guys, here is a quick review of the Cree SMD LED Reverse Tail Lights.
I am the test subject for the seller (909_bmw) and he has hooked me up in the past so this is something I feel like i can do for him. You can buy these here First let me apologize if the camera does not capture the true intensity of the LED bulb. I know for a fact that these bulbs are a lot brighter than the stock ones. So feel free to post up questions and I will answer them Looks The color is about 6000k. Very bright white and looks like a lot better (in my opinion) than the yellow stock bulbs. With that stated, it definitely enhances the look of the vehicle ![]() Installation It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to install. Below, you will find a few images of the instillation. Pretty much take off the cover, genitally lift up the tab holding the light unit in place. At this point the unit will come free. To replace the bulb, just wiggle it loose. Place the new bulb into the light unit. To place back the light unit, simply align the bulbs and push it back in. You will hear a slight click when the unit is correctly installed. Best part is that it is error free! And here comes the pictures. Wow 909_bmw accepted my low offer for the Corner LED's and just offered for these bulbs as well. GREAT deal and CANNOT WAIT to get these in my early production 07 E92
![]() EDIT: Just confirmed both the corners and reverse LEDs from 909_bmw for an INSANE deal. Will post review after I get them in.

Yup also in talks about testing sidemarkers since if I get errors its no big deal since I code bimmers.
I'll post my own reveiw thread with pics when mine are in.

You know, I would bite the bullet on them, if there wasn't a product made by LUX and HPB coming out very soon. BUT, I am looking at LED replacements for the P21W bulbs in the e90 LCI taillights, hopefully I'll get a nicer, and brighter, color out of them.

The light pattern is different with the LED vs stock. But, they do look bright.
I have the F1 autohauz reverse LED bulbs and I paid $25 for them. I must say, the light output is not that great and a little too blue for me... ![]() |

I wish the seller would come down more on the price for these. I might just wind up trying to do a DIY since the CREE emitters are about $3 each. I figure the bulb housing, heatsink, and resistors can't be more than another $3 for each emitter.

![]() I think that would be a great addition to the DIYs and you can even make one for the H8 bulbs for the AEs! |
