I just received my ESS flash tune, there's a pdf instruction file about how to flash the car and there's something written;

Before any operation on the car check that the vehicle is properly serviced and no warning lights are lit on the dashboard, if anything is wrong the vehicle should be first serviced and repaired by a car dealer or repair shop.

I got the brake light already on, and I got the active cruise control malfunction, does it matter if I flashed the car or I should fix the problems before?
