Need help, planning to buy a 335xi

hey guys, i currently own a 2002 330ci and i am planning to buy a 2007 335xi 4-door with premium, sport, navigation and convenience package soon. the car has 87000 with extended warranty until 142000 with $100 deductible. we kinda agreed at 25k. do you think this is a good deal? what should i look for before i buy this car? is there any scheduled service coming up soon for it? i am planning to keep it for ~ 3 years. any input is much appreciated. thanks

I just bought a certified pre-owned 2008 335xi with 39000 miles, cold and sport package for $29,400 USD this past week. Factory warranty extended to 55K, + CPO warranty through 100K for $50 deductable. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I finally converted from Subaru.

87K is pretty high mileage, I'd try to negotiate if this is a private party. Make sure tire tread and brakes have some meat left. Nothing worse than dishing out for a new car and having to pay for replacements immediately after. Also find out if the fuel pump has been replaced with a quality unit.

I assumed that the car is BMW CPO, if it is. The price is ok.

I personally think that these are great deals, given that the CarProof is clean.

I just picked up a 2007 335i with 32 000 km for $30 500.

87 000 is a lot. it would take me 3-4 years to get to 87 000 from 32 000.

I'm looking to get into an E90/92 very soon, probably 2007 or 2008. I thought that the BMW Dealer CPO prices were completely out to lunch ($10K+ higher then private or private-dealer) so I immediate discounted buying a car there (because CPO is definitely not worth additional $10K!!!). This proves that there is immediately around $4-5K on the negotiating table right off the bat, when their "sale price" is that much lower than their original list. If I could get one around 3-4K higher than a private with CPO I might consider it, as with the low finance rates I wouldn't have to drop the whole amount in cash right off the bat, and could invest the lump sum instead and probably make more back via investments, RRSP tax refund, etc. Does this make sense?

I'm looking for a 2007 or 2008 335i E90/92, interior Black, Red, or Terra, 6spd, must have Sport Package. I thought that the 335i came with leather regardless of the Premium Package option, but I guess not? (based on above). In that case it would also have to have Premium Package.

I found couple of other ones with much less KM around the same price but the problem is that they don't have any warranty and sport and navigation package on them. I think warranty on 335s is a must based on what i've read in this forum.

you're right -- a CPO isn't worth $10,000.

A US BMW dealer spends around $1500-2000 in CPOing the car. How do i know? That's what multiple dealerships told me they'd take off the listed price if I wanted it non-CPO. Or if I wanted a non-CPO car as CPO, then they'd raise the list price by $2000.

Even these numbers have the dealer making some money which is fine.

But $10,000 ---- f***k OFF! That's a RIP OFF here in Toronto!

edit: You should look on cars.com and I just found you a 335i with those specs for US$35,000 LIST price (make it $33,000 when you buy it) at bmwstore in Cincinnati, OH which is where I bought my 328xi from. I Can't link to it because of how their website is but g'damnit....it's a BEAUTIFUL 2008 with 13 months of warranty left on it.
