Latest Procede 5-10 beta maps thoughts
Initial testing on my 07 6mt has been very positive. I have put over 120 miles on testing cruise control stability with speeds ranging from 35 - 70 mpsh, and have yet to have a single hiccup. I also seem to be experiencing better gas mileage while cruising. I've been averaging roughly 25-27mpg, but over the past 120 miles I noticed that the mpg readings have been averaging higher numbers than usual and currently I'm getting about 30mpg. Certainly not a complaint, but I just curious if any changes in the maps occurred that would account for this?
Additionally, it feels as though partially throttle power is much more responsive and stronger than the earlier 3-30 maps. Again a very positive experience, but also just curious if anything was changed to make this occur? So two thumbs up for me so far... One additional note is that the wastegate noise seems to be decreased as well. I have my wastegate value set to 30, and power response/boost tip in seems to be unchanged even with such a low value. However, when the car starts up, the initial wastegate position seems to be fully closed, and of course a rattle occurs. It seems to take around 45 - 60 secs, before the wastegate is moved into the "30%" position. Any particular reason for this? Normal driving seems to sound just fine, but it's just that brief period when the car starts that it still seems to rattle. |
