NYC 19" or 20"s- NEED HELP DECIDING

This is the deal. I'm contemplating ordering a set of either 19" or 20 from DPE. But Im a little ambivalent between which size to get because of the rough streets in NYC. My G35 had 20" DPE but it also had 30 profile in the rear. The new 335 can only run 20 profiles so I thinking about running 19" which would give me more profile. Anyone in NYC rolling on 20" DPE's or other forges wheels? If so what tire size are you running, have you had much problems with the streets(bad), can you post pictures. Please help. I need to order soon.

I have 19's and i regret not going for the 20's...if the offset is right you shouldnt have problems rubbing but your just going to have to watch out for the potholes and be more careful when driving

i went back and forth. Im running DPE s15s 19X8.5 and 19X10 with 245/35 and 275/30.

streets are shitty here in LA, and im very happy i went with the 19s. They fit on the coupe perfectly with a race drop tucked into the fender.

however DPE makes very very high quality rims that are very strong, if you are careful you can definitly get away with 20s. Id not run on H&R race with stock sport shocks, and id go with something like KW v2's.

hey if u regret it, sell me longtran's rims

id go with 19. im from NY so i would know. 19 is friggen painful as it is, 20's especially with 25 or 20 profile tires is gonna be killed. probably dented within a month.

+1 you're just asking for trouble 20's especially with low profile. The roads in NY are so bad.. If you think LA is bad, you will not like driving in NY. I enjoy driving in LA so much more than NY, roads are nice and wide and smooth.

My dad went through 2 rims on his CLK 17" rims in the first two months in NYC. I'd go 18, maybe 19 max if you have a good eye.
