Thumbs down MTEC's cant install

Recieved my 6000k mtecs from the ebay dealer, and took it to a professional to install them on my 323i today. The HID bulb was much too long to fit into the headlight - so the bulb could not clip in. The halogen bulb was much shorter. Has anyone else had this problem? I sent the ebay guy this information and am waiting to hear from him, but I wanted to hear from the board members who have installed these sucessfully. Its supposed to be a plug and play, guess not. Thanks, Adam.

are you talking about bulbs or an actual HID kit?

the bulbs for the HID kit... they took out the halogen bulbs from the headlight, wires and all, and when they went to put the HID's into the headlamp it was too long, and it would not go far enough in for the clip to hold the bulb in place. He said that he might be able to force it in, but it would run the very real risk of snapping the inside part that houses/reflects the light back on to the reflectors, as it was already pushing against it instead of sitting neatly inside it like the halogen did when fully installed and clipped in.

It should say "H-SOMENUMBER" on the box, not really to sure but off the top of my head the e90 uses H7 for headlights, and H11 for fogs.

If its H11 that they sent you, you can either send them back or replace your existing fog lights with them. I did it myself a few weeks back, and the bulbs fit perfect, just as long as you got the right bulb number.

Well, I just got the word back from him, and he's asking about the bulbs, wants me to take pictures, and we'll get to the bottom of this. Good thing he's a friendly seller! I'll keep you posted...

It says "Exclusive kit for 323i", I figured okay, it must be an exclusive kit for a 323i.
