130mph qtr mile run (speedo view)

If you disregard the first 60ft or so, this is probably the fastest/most powerful N54 1/4 mile in car acceleration caught on video so far.

Traction is still terrible. I barely launch at 1500 rpm and I am fighting wheel spin. I am thinking the NT555Rs might grip better than my NT05Rs on the street currently. I just did six qtr mile runs, and all of them were 2.0-2.1 60' times except for this 1.9 sec 60' run I caught on video.

You will also notice the trans has been surviving many 130 mph qtr mile runs now because the JB4 cuts the nitrous between shifts. I would imagine trying to cut boost instantly would be a difficult task without creating lag.

On the other hand, without the conservative shift cutout,(based on the % of time the car is not on spray during the run) perhaps the car might trap 132mph.

Edit:6/05 Just did a 131.8mph run. Here is a video of one of the 131.5mph qtr mile runs:

11.4 sec at 130.8 1/4 mile
7.5 sec at 101.8mph 1/8 mile
0-60 3.6 sec (even with short shift before 60mph) PB: 3.2 sec 0-60 at Famoso Dragstrip
0-100 7.3sec

JB4 w/meth, 100 oct, 046 jet dryshot, Nitto DRs, BMS DCI
3500lb race weight
Stock catback/rear muffler, intercooler and turbos.

Nothing special or difficult, seat removal and 17" wheels/DRs, not running with a full tank of gas! No braille battery, CFRP parts, or carpet removal, door panel removal, etc. Just trying to get it closer to a 135i stock weight (w/rfts). No way to get close to a 135i with WR though.

And here are two other runs from the night before:

11.3 at 130.2 with a 2.0 sec 60ft! 0-60 in 3.3 sec, 0-100 in 7.2 sec

11.5 at 131.0 with a 2.0 sec 60ft 0-60 in 3.5 sec, 0-100 in 7.5 sec

A 11.3 second ET, and 7.2 second 0-100 is pretty quick when you consider it was only done with lousy 2.0 second sixty foot, lol. For comparison:
0-100mph times:
9.9 second CTS-V Coupe
9.2 second 2011 Shelby Cobra
8.8 second Ford GT
7.9 second Z06
7.8 second Lexus-LFA
7.7 second GT-2
7.5 seonc SLR-Mclaren
7.4 second 2012 AWD GTR
7.3 second ZR-1

Most of these cars are lighter and have well over 500HP.
So I would imagine my car is also making over 500Hp at the engine currently.

I would love to know what the 60' time is on a Veyron!

Seriously, at this point I sometimes wish I had an ix...awesome traction, everyday.

AWD + LC = Win.

The new Porsche TT w/ PDK is doing 0-60 in 2.7.

Yup, Porsche PDK, and some of the Lamborghini AWD cars, GTRs, etc, are very quick! My best 0-60 has been 3.2 sec. Without a doubt, with AWD this car would be in the upper 2 second range, easily. Just feathering the throttle at speeds below 60mph. AWD would be so much fun.

The thing about car acceleration is the first 0-60 is where you car "would" accelerate the hardest "if" you had traction. Its frustrating that I have to back pedal on the throttle. And the potential to spray more in the lower gear would make it very powerful off the launch. Thats why awd would be crazy easy. I was thinking M/Ts would be better, but some people are having great results with their NT05Rs.....maybe driving around town with them everyday has made them more slippery?

I do not have a LSD...wonder how much it would actually help..
Although, most of the quickest 335i BMW times were done with LSD.

So far however, I have always tried to keep it simple. Besides the downpipes, everything in my car can be returned to stock within a couple of hours with no cutting, drilling, etc.

Im not quite sure. I get about 7-9 qtr mile runs on a 10lb bottle though. And the differences in going up from a 028-032-036-040-042-046 is very marginal. Maybe a fraction of a mph between jets. The main mph comes from raising the boost back up.

Thanks..it does accelerate surprisingly strong even from 110-130 mph.

I just installed 2 meth nozzles again, going to see if it improves my HP any with the nitrous.

My goodness... wow... with such simple mods this car is a beast.

Hotrod, how many miles have you been using spray and how often do you use it on a daily basis (I mean 100% throttle and spray)?
