I have to start by saying that I'm a bit confused and worried!

Today I got my windows tinted for my 06 330xi sedan sparkling graphite car.
The place I got the job done at suppose to be very good.
However, when I went to pickup my car, I was a bit stunned to see that all the new tint has streaks of small bubbles on most of the windows and the back windshield. When I asked the guy about it, his answer was:

-Don't worry about it all, its normal! you just need to give it about a month and all the small bubbles will disappear completely, and the tinting will be clear and smooth.
-Don't open your windows for 3 days.
-Don't touch the bubbles.
-Etc.

The guy told me that he used the best product he got (3M?? paid about $225 CND).
My questions to experts out there are:
-Is this normal in a tinting job?
-Do you agree that the small bubbles will disappear in about aa month.
-What about if I have to open my windows in the 3 days after my tint installation?

I really appreciate if you give me your input as I'm starting to freak out here!! I have to act fast in case I got cheated!

I didn't pay $225 but tint prices are a bit ridiculous. Did you get all the windows tinted?

If you're talking about very very small bubbles then yes they will disappear. The tint needs to dry.

After 3-5 days of installation your tint will be fine. You can roll your windows down. It's just so the tint won't move.

I have my E90 tinted using llumar about a month ago and have not opened any windows yet. It has few small bubbles since install and never disappeared as members here claimed. I believed they are caused by dirt or sort of fabric material during install.
There are plenty of DIY window tinting, do a google search. You might find it easy and cheaper.

The bubbles looks like small air pockets and vary in sizes.
I tinted all the windows and back windshield.
I also notice that the glass is a bit foggy?? I didn't attempt to clean it.

Unfortunately, I had to open 2 windows twice a day since I have to cross the us/canadien borders every day. I hope it will not cause any issues.

I'm gonna try to take some pictures.

I had to cross a toll bridge and use a card reader to get into my garage after getting my tint done, and I bypassed this issue by opening my doors.

Yeah same here. Whenever I had my windows tinted I'd always open my doors. Looked goofy but I'd rather do that then mess up my tint.

Try that with the US customs (and more less canadiens) and let me know!!
They don't care about messing your windows tint. They care about security only!!

You can open your driver door. But who's gonna open the back door since windows are tinted. Buddy, you'll be pulled over for inspection with no time)
So I roll the windows and save the headache.

Can you not just come to a safe stop, put it in park, and open your driver door to hand the person the money or whatever you have to do? If you have legal tint there's no reason to worry.

It's not about that. The last thing you need when you cross to the us is to be pulled over. If you park and open the door, then you're asking for trouble
If you say I can't open the windows because of new tint, then they'll say fine we'll pull you over for inspection, and that could take few hours of waiting...trust me, I commute every day.
