WTB 2009 E93 (convertible) 335i

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
UPDATE 7/28/11:
Ready to buy. Sold on getting Le Mans Blue with Saddle Brown.

----
Very serious about buying a 2009 E93 335i in the September time frame. With all the options I want I should be buying new, but I can't justify paying for the accelerated depreciation in the first few years. Hopefully I'll find my dream car.

Must have configurations/options:
Navi/iDrive (the primary reason I want 2009 over 07-08)
6-speed steptronic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters
Comfort access (my current Infiniti G35 has the equivalent and I can never own a car again that doesn't have this)
Premium package
Heated front seats
iPod and USB adapater

Highly desired options:
M-sport package
Logic7

Exterior colors:
Lemans Blue (highly preferred -- also means I'll get M-sport by default)
Montego Blue
Space Gray
Alpine White

Interior colors:
Creme Beige
Gray
Saddle Brown

Interior trim:
Prefer gray poplar, prefer to avoid aluminum.

In terms of mods I prefer bone stock, but wouldn't object to LCI tails, OSS/Orion V2 angel eyes, Procede V5 tune, DCI/CAI, or FMIC (all of which I plan to do).

Naturally it'd be great to find one local (Bay Area) but willing to buy from non-snow states and ship to CA.

I know I'm picky. What do you think guys? Can I find this with <35K miles for <$40K?

you are looking for a pretty expensive car to be trying to get on for under $40k. Good luck with that. I just sold a 08 335i non sport or mtech. had nav and logic 7 with only
26,000 miles for $38,800... You are going up a year and possibly more options. probably not going to happen anytime soon..

I'm willing to spend more to get what I want, just trying to figure out how much I should budget (fair market price) since sources like KBB are worthless. I talked myself out of buying a used M3 because the extra $15-$20K doesn't seem worth it vs. a chip-tuned 335i, especially if you don't track it.

Where do you think I should set my expectations, $45K?

$45k is probably more reasonable for what you are trying to accomplish..
you never know you might find one for a little less than that but, more than likely you will be in the 45K. Im in sales at a BMW dealership. Let me know if i can help you out in any way.. I can always ship too...

Haha thanks... looks a little rough though. Funny enough, I saw that listing earlier today. Seems like I've been checking cars.com, Manheim, AutoTrader, eBay, and my local craigslist religiously now.
This is one the of the closet matches I've found, but it's not M-Sport, doesn't have paddle shifters, and don't think I want to buy from a snow state. Great color combo though, Montego is so close to LeMans.
