E92s only came out for MY07 so I don't know how that could ever be swapped for an '05 base model SLK.

Definitely a completely different market (in terms of value mostly, and of course target audience) but good luck.

Well, according to carsales.com.au the E92 07 model 2nd hand price starts at around $38000 and also the SLK 05 models starts at around $38000, which means price wise its comparable.
I do personally prefer E92 over for performance but i guess this is a BMW forum!!!
Anyways I love both worlds the BMW and the MERC!!!

Just read your ad on CarSales.... whats the mad urgency in selling?

CarSales sounds like your a man possessed in selling the car urgently... and on here you seem to have all the time in the world, wheeling and dealing with swaps etc..

I'm not in a rush but i do want to move on. Its actually a pretty good car but the bigger problem for me is that its a 2 seater.
