Help! Brake Light Malfunction

Yesterday, I was driving and the dash threw on " left brake light malfunction"...i checked the brakes (both bulbs) and signals they work fine...wondering if I should bring it in to dealer ? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEM? Any recommendations on which dealer to go to and recommend a friendly SA.... near either in NY/ NJ area?

because I don't really want to deal with LQ BMW in Bay Ridge... Thanks in advance

i think the nearest one is freeport Hassel BMW u can take belt into southern state into meadowbrook exit goin toward jones beach i believe its 8w or 9w its right off the exit bare right next to gas station..

There are two bulbs on each side for brakes, make sure they both work

i use to have 2 great service advisor but they left..now when i go in i have some1 different..
