How much does a good paint job usually cost on a vehicle?

And are there any recommended places near Plano/Dallas, TX?

A good paint job can range anywhere from $3,000 to $15,000 depending on how much you're willing to pay. Paint jobs are one of those things where you get what you pay for. Sorry, I don't live in Texas so I don't know any reputable shops in the area, but definitely don't be stingy on the paint, it shows. A cheap Maaco job just doesn't cut it.

Same color will be significantly cheaper. Not sure how much in the TX market but you can get a quality same color paint job for $1500-$2000.
