FS -NEW 335i Vanguard exhaust

So up for sale is a BRAND NEW Vanguard exhaust system for the 335i. I ordered this kit from PYSPEED a few months back and went to get it installed at Kaizen over the weekend and GUESS WHAT????...its for a 335i and not a 335XI!!! I started doing some research and they don't even make a kit for the 335XI and I'm F*cking stuck with this system that I can't even use. I tried emailing them and nothing (be aware when dealing with them I guess). I paid close to $1400 shipped to my house and I am open for offers. I already lost 150 on the wasted labor time from the failed attempt and I haven't heard back from PYSPEED so here I am....

Let me know if you are at all interested...I live in central mass

The same exact bullshit happened with me and the Vanguard exhaust back in fall of 2009! If people are still having this issue and aren't being told up front that the system doesnt fit our Xi's, there's obviously a serious problem with that company and the particular vendors involved who are selling these exhausts. I mean granted, the quality of the exhaust was immaculate when I had it in hand and I was initially very excited to get it on my car, but Shame on them for letting this problem persist for this long. Other than eventually getting my money back through PayPal after I addressed the issue with Vanguard, I got NOWHERE with them in terms of an apology (for telling me up front that it would fit No problem) or in having them take responsibility for false advertising and make proper calls to their vendors telling them that it wont work on AWD cars. Vanguard told me they'd test fit my exhaust after I had it sent back and lost labor costs just as you had OP, to see what the problem was and to see what alterations had to be made for it to work on the car and they never even had the curtosy to get back to me about it. Anyway, sorry this happened to you as well bud. Best of luck in getting your money back and in getting a proper exhaust that will fit fine and be of equivelant quality.

Oh FML, that sounds horrible. Did you end up shipping the exhaust back to them? I filled the complaint through paypal and I'm opening a case with American Express (thank god I used them). I called Vanguard and they even said they don't make a kit for the XI models. Its really a shame because this exhaust is PHENOMENAL in quality and its extremely light.

Just curious, what kind of exhaust did you go with instead?

Yeah, I sent the exhaust back to them and ended up getting Turner's exhaust and couldn't be happier with it. It was a bit pricey but well worth the money since there is virtually No drone (especially on the highway, it's as quiet as stock) yet very aggressive sounding in and around town and certainly turns heads. The quality is very good as well..I had some minor leaking issues initially with the shitty clamps they provided for each exhaust section but once I had that sorted out soon after, I've been problem free since then and Im sure they provide better clamps now (since I addressed the issue to them a while back and im sure I wasn't the only one). Fitment is perfect on the Xi as well and the adjustable tips are nice and aggressive looking out the back as well. I can definitley notice some improved performance over the stock exhaust as well since I'm tuned and the system saves a lot of weight over the stock unit as Vanguards did.
