Vinyl Wrapping Car (S) !

I am wrapping my 335i e90 and have a few other cars we are wrapping.
Have a few questions before starting. I have heard mixed reviews about 3m Di Noc, and now have been told Hexis is the way to go. Anyone have experience with either one?

Also how much wrap would I need assuming I mess up a little. I saw the thread from Djaemac wrapping his car, and he makes it seem pretty easy. I have assembled a team of 5-6 friends who are very intricate in everything they do, so I am hoping we will finish in a few days of work.

Anyone with experience please chime in!

I would say di-noc is easier to work with than regular 3-5mm vinyl.

It's pretty tedious work. good luck.

from what I hear, di-noc isn't very good for the paint after leaving it on for an extended amount of time. how true is this?

go with 3M 1080 Scotchprint. (Matte White Black or Silver. Rated for up to 9 years outside)

just posted a thread about carbon fiber vinyl wrap. Not sure if this was the route you were going but i do want to raise a concern and make sure you don't fall into the same problem i am. I recently got my hood wrapped and for some reason when the sun is out you can see what looks like dent marks all over my hood (possibly glare from the soon creating an illusion) However, when comparing it to my friends car his doesn't have any glare issues. I'm just advising you to have a professional do it so you don't run into my same issue. Hope this helps.

Never heard of this.

I've had my roof wrapped for a about 2 years now I think. I guess well see when I take it off.

Are you sure you're not confusing the vinyl with 3M Primer 94? Which is sometimes used on concave surfaces to promote adhesion so the vinyl won't lift?

That will sometimes eat through clear coat.
