Worried about over boost after wastegate rod adjustemt

So i tried to fix the wastegate rattle and its much better now, its not gone but vastly better. However after i turned the rod in 2 turns my car goes like a rapped date.

My wife got in the car and asked holy shit what did you do to the car, it pulls so hard it hurts her stomach.

I want to make sure im not creating an unsafe level of boost, my boost gauge still read the same as before the adjustment but the car just feels way way faster. Is it possible that i was loosing boost out the wastegate when i was not supposed to? i always thought my car was slower than it should be for what it is and now it feels faster than it should be.

i just want to make sure everything is ok. Still pulling 14.5-15 PSI on the boost gauge with JB3 DCI and 3" AR DP's. Is there anyway im making more boost than the boost gauge is reading somehow

i dont know if i want it any faster than it is now its hard to drive around town normally

Having problems with the stupid waste-gates too know exactly what you are talking of. Its just that it builds boost much faster.

Its not going to overboost and overshooting is unlikely too, enjoy it and don't worry about it.

I would trust what the boost gauge is reading. Since it gets its pressure from the manifold I assume then there's no reason the engine will be seeing more boost than that.

well sweet, turning that rod made more of a difference than going from JB3 Map 0 to Map 5

I just went for a drive today and the lag is pretty bad in my eyes. I'm considering doing what you have done. Does anyone know if there are any adverse effects to doing this? Is it too hard on the turbo's to build boost that fast even if the pressure isn't different?

It's probably not the case but I would like to pose the question to see if anyone knows more about this than me to verify.

By the way how hard was it to adjust both arms with the turbo's in the car?

And oddly enough rarely the cause of the rattle. It's strange that it's only the rear that seems to be affected.

Did you only adjust your rear turbo's shaft then?

I don't know and so take this with a grain of salt, but wouldn't having only one Turbo with a loose waste gate maybe not have a worse effect than if it was way tight? Wouldn't that produce some unhealthy pulsating in the Turbo charge because one is obviously weaker and therefore flow maybe less than the other?

Only the rear wastegate is closed at idle to help build boost faster. The front is completely open at idle and that's why you don't hear it rattling against the exhaust housing. I adjusted mine and felt the same thing but I guess the car adapted and I no longer feel that adrenaline pumping part throttle acceleration...
